USB FATX Formatter by LegendaryFire There are a few VERY easy steps to get it working. 1) Format the USB stick as FAT32 or FAT. About 15 seconds into the format, unplug the USB drive. 2) You should get a message saying the format could not be completed. 3) Plug the USB stick back into the computer, the USB drive should be corrupted.

This is a good thing. If you are still able to access your USB drive without reformatting it, then redo steps one and two. 4) Open the USB XFAT Formatter, be sure you have found the correct USB drive and hit 'Format USB', wait for it to finish and your USB drive should then be formatted as XFAT!

A buddy of mine tried to back up the contents of his 120gb xbox 360 hdd on to his pc and ended up formatting it to fat32, I’ve already gave him the bad news that he has lost all his data but was wondering if anyone knows how to format it back to fatx as I’ve had no luck finding any tools or programs that have an fatx format option, the 360 will now only recognize it as a usb flash drive and only allow for up to 16gb of 360 storage.
