The SLAs are available to grade 3 teachers in all school authorities and are administered at the teacher’s discretion. Below are some answers to common questions teachers and administrators may have about the Grade 3 SLA. Can all Grade 3 teachers in Alberta use the SLA? Yes, all Grade 3 teachers can use the SLA. Can school authorities direct the use of SLAs? Minister Eggen has been clear that the Grade 3 SLA will be available to teachers as a tool to use at their discretion.
